Wilmington Rotary Club

The Wilmington Rotary Club was established on April 25, 1930, sponsored by the Cincinnati Rotary Club. C.H. Peterson, District Governor at the time, waited three years to establish the club because of opposition within the Cincinnati Club to having a Rotary Club in Wilmington. After those opposing were finally convinced, Wilmington experienced an unusual charter night celebration. Two hundred quests were expected, but more than four hundred arrived for the event!

The Wilmington Rotary Club has since sponsored the Hillsboro Rotary Club and the A.M. Rotary Club of Wilmington.

Our club's primary objective is service oriented projects. Fellowship is also encouraged at regular meetings and special events held throughout the year.
