Wellford Academy of Science and Technology is a magnet Title I School located in the growing District Five Schools of Spartanburg County.  Wellford currently serves over 400 students in grades 4K through 4th grade.  We believe in the continued growth of all students, and our dedicated staff works hard to ensure their success. 

In addition to classroom instruction, we offer such support as a math coach, reading interventionists, resource and speech classes for Special Education students, and English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program, and a Developmentally Delayed (DD) class.  We also give academic support to students through a before-school computer lab, an after-school tutoring program, specialized computer software, and mentors who read and eat lunch with children.  We also offer 4-year-old Kindergarten to prepare students for early school success.

Wellford is very proud of its academic accomplishments, having posted steady gains on the Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS) over the past several years.  However, we are just as proud of the warm and inviting environment that puts children and their needs as our first priority.  We welcome you to visit and learn more about us through our website or in person!
