Mission

The mission of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce is to support member success and grow the local economy. 

About 

The Troy Area Chamber of Commerce, originally the Troy Community Boosters Club, had its beginning In 1934when the members of the club decided that their objectives could be better accomplished through the development of a true Chamber of Commerce. Records indicate that the first official board meeting was held June 27, 1939, and on August 31, 1944, a Certificate of Organization Membership was issued for Troy Chamber of Commerce, Ohio by the United States Chamber of Commerce.

In 1984 the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Troy, initiated the Troy Development Council, a public/private partnership dedicated to the retention and expansion of existing businesses and the attraction of new business and industry. Troy, Ohio is a progressive city of 30,000 with a reputation for its "can do" attitude, hospitality and pride in its accomplishments. Located along I-75 ten minutes north of the I-75 & I-70 interchange, Troy is ideally situated. Our 90 - minute market covers 50% of the U. S. population and over 60% of the U. S. manufacturing. Since 1984, the Troy Development Council has assisted industry in the investment of over $3 billion and the creation of over 8,600 new jobs.
