To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.

The Sterling Lions are a group of men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in the Eastern Part of Loudoun County, Virginia and the world community. We conduct service projects to raise funds to help those in need. The Lions' motto is "We Serve."

The Sterling Lions Club was chartered on May 13, 1964 as the Dulles Lions Club. As the community of Sterling Park grew up around the old Sterling whistle stop on the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad, the members, most of whom were Sterling residents, and/or working at Dulles International Airport decided to change the name to the Sterling Lions Club.
