Global Mission Event
Sunday November 27, 2005 we invited Pastor Janet Grill from the Johannesburg Group of the South African Mission Team of the Southwestern Pa Synod of the ELCA to come and tell our members about the efforts of the Mission Team. She was welcomed at a coffee hour before the worship service and spoke about the country and the people.
During worship we followed the Stand With Africa Theme and the congregation and choir sang African hymns. Our special offering of the day was for World Hunger. Following worship we had a soup luncheon and Pastor Grill and Mary Ann Coulston of the Durban Group showed pictures from their trip and spoke about the Mission Team focus on HIV/AIDS.
