Founded in 1974, the Sevier County Humane Society is a full service animal shelter and we receive over 3000 lost, abandoned, surrendered, homeless pets a year. We turn no animal away, except for wildlife which Tennessee State law prohibits us from handling. But we are more than cats and dogs!! Our animal shelter has housed horses, pigs, rabbits, chicken, geese, rats and even an iguana.

Your Humane Society is a private 501C non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors and a full time, dedicated staff. Operating primarily on donations and community support, all contributions are appreciated and used to create a safe, healthy and comfortable environment for the animals that come into our care.
