Purple Maize Farm
Your spring shares will include green and blue peas, red, green, and speckled lettuce, green onions, greens of all kinds, purple, yellow, and orange carrots, cabbage, striped beets, sweet turnips, and purple broccoli. Summer welcomes a rainbow of tomatoes and peppers, cucumbers, beans, and melons. The fall will bring potatoes and sweet potatoes, more tender greens, lettuces, and another round of turnips, radishes, cabbages, and such. When available, you will receive a bundle of both culinary herbs and tea herbs. This list is by no means exhaustive! If you want us to grow it, let us know. The most important part of your participation in our CSA is your satisfaction.

We grow outrageously delicious, unusually colored heirloom vegetables! We offer full and half shares. A full share is the equivalent of a half-bushel basket, which should provide hearty servings for a family of four a few meals each week. A half share will be enough produce for two people for a week, of course depending upon your cooking and eating habits. We also offer a single share, for individuals who want to participate in a CSA but do not want to manage an overwhelming quantity of vegetables. All of our customers will pick out their own shares from each week's harvest, allowing for personalization. We're happy to offer drop off points in Smithville and Watertown, in addition to our on-farm pick up.

Members pick up their shares on the sidewalk in front of Lulu's Coffee House. We will have everything that was harvested that week set up so that you can choose out what you want. Once we have all our CSA members, we will determine a pick up day and time for this location.

Smithville Farmers' Market
Members will pick up their shares at the new Farmers Market pavilion behind Ace Hardware. They haven't decided what day the new market will be open, but it will almost certainly be open on Saturdays. This information will be updated as soon as we find out!
