Phoenix House New England, founded in 1967, is one of the region’s premier nonprofit substance abuse treatment agencies, annually serving more than 3,500 individuals at 45 programs and facilities throughout New England.  The majority of our programs are accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, a nationally recognized standard of excellence.

Since 1969, Phoenix House has provided substance abuse treatment to adults and adolescents in Western Massachusetts, including residential and outpatient treatment options for adults and adolescents, and transitional support services for adults in early recovery.  In 2009 we added services in the Greater Boston area, where we now provide programs that serve mothers and children, including an emergency shelter and   rehousing program, and substance abuse treatment.
