Peace Lutheran Church

129 W Walnut Street
419-468-3141

Peace founded together with Lutheran and Reformed Christian roots built a one story brick building located on our present location. The official date was May 31, 1847. Peace was a German speaking congregation until when the English language was first introduced in 1882, and by 1939 Peace became an English speaking congregation.

With each challenge to become increasing relevant to the community the people of Peace became stronger in faith.

Today a dynamic ministry exists in caring for people within the community, with community dinners, and a variety of public worship services. Yet a Bible centered church offering classes on weekdays, and weeknights, as well as a challenging adult class on Sunday.

Now in 2006 the challenge in being faithful to Jesus Christ we embrace change with the assurance of our Lord whose "love never fails" and journeys with us through God's Word and a variety or music. The exciting ministry outreach of Peace goes as far as Tanzania, Africa, and Bratislava, Slovakia, and will be visiting here at Peace on Sunday, July 9th.

God wants us all to be ministers of His grace, using our gifts, talents and opportunties He gives us to to benefit others.
