About Us

LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton is located within Sycamore Hospital, part of the Kettering Medical Center Network. We have 44 licensed beds and a medical staff of more than 125 physicians. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and are Medicare certified.

Our hospital specializes in the treatment of medically complex patients who require extended hospitalization. We are passionate about giving our patients the best chance at recovery from acute injury or illness by providing early and aggressive intervention in a critical care setting. Our treatment team includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and therapists across a range of disciplines - physical, speech, occupational, respiratory, recreational and psychological therapy. We believe this interdisciplinary approach helps speed physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. We embrace each of our patients as individuals with a personal history and a unique health situation and we provide the compassion, support, and nurturing necessary to achieve optimal recovery.

In addition to treating medically complex patients, we are known for our excellent vent and wound care programs. Referred to us from a variety hospital and other healthcare settings, we are uniquely organized to provide leading-edge care for those patients who simply do not improve in more traditional settings. We are a team of highly capable and committed healthcare professionals who manage unique, patient-focused programs to tackle the toughest of cases and produce positive results.
