Lake Center Christian School

12893 Kaufman Avenue NW
330-877-2049

On the first day of school in September of 1947, 183 students arrived at the newly constructed school campus to pursue a distinctly Christian education. Today, more than 600 students from 29 public school districts are having their educational needs met at Lake Center.

Lake Center Christian Schools are elementary and secondary private Christian schools offering a Christ-centered education to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

LCCS is the oldest Protestant school in Stark County and is chartered by the state of Ohio. Representatives from over 100 congregations attend Lake Center.

Unlike public schools, private Christian schools have the unique opportunity to bring Biblical application into all classroom experiences. At LCCS, students will receive a quality education taught with a distinctly Bible-based worldview.

Lake Center Christian Schools are owned and governed by three area Mennonite churches - Hartville Mennonite, Maple Grove Mennonite, and Cornerstone Mennonite. A 70-member corporation makes up the governing body of LCCS and includes 20 representatives from each of the Mennonite congregations and 10 board-appointed members who may be from other congregations.
