The KRMS community including students, staff, parents and community at large is devoted to excellence in learning. Within a safe and positive environment, this community is dedicated to addressing the unique developmental needs of the early adolescent learner.

Educational programs and practices are structured to identify and support skills and knowledge essential for responsible participation in ever-changing local and world issues.

Vision :

Kingswood Regional Middle School is a student-centered community dedicated to the education of early adolescents. It is a safe, supportive environment which fosters mutual respect in an atmosphere where students feel a sense of belonging. Each student is challenged in a stimulating academic climate which values both the process and result of learning. Students are encouraged to take healthy risks toward individual successes as they make connections between new and previous knowledge.

The students of Kingswood Regional Middle School strive to explore and master a common core of knowledge framed by the commencement goals of the Governor Wentworth Regional School District. They set goals and assess their progress by working collaboratively with parents, teachers and peers. Students learn from the connections they make within their school, local and world communities. Their use of contemporary technology links their formal classrooms to the world-at-large. They demonstrate knowledge and skills by completing a variety of performance tasks which reflect real-life experiences.

The educators of Kingswood Regional Middle School are facilitators of learning who work collaboratively for the benefit of teams of learners. These professional staff members are committed to varying their instructional time and strategies to meet the developmental needs of individuals and groups. The faculty strives to stay current in knowledge and application of sound educational practices.

The community plays an integral part in the development and delivery of the curricula. This fosters frequent and innovative connections between the school and local communities. Both students and adults use Kingswood Regional Middle School as a resource center to become life-long learners.
