The Town of Kenly and its citizens are committed to providing a recreation program to serve the needs of the children in our area. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our numerous volunteers, we are able to offer a variety of seasonal sports and activities such as baseball, tee ball, basketball, soccer, girls’ softball, and cheerleading.

The majority of our recreation activities are based at the Kenly Area Parks And Recreation Center (KAPARC) on College Avenue. This facility includes four ball fields, a soccer complex, two tennis courts, two batting cages, and a half mile paved walking trail. The entire facility is lit. We also have our own gym that our kids and church leagues keep busy in the winter.

During the summer months, the baseball fields at KAPARC are the host sites for various postseason tournaments such as the Johnston County Cal Ripken Sr. Division Tournament, the Babe Ruth District Three Girls Softball Tournament, and the Babe Ruth 13 Prep North Carolina State Tournament. It is also the home park for 14 teams in Spring Sports.
Grady Park, located on Second Street (Highway 222), offers a variety of recreation equipment for younger children.
