- Students have a right to expect a safe and nurturing school environment.
- Students have a right to receive a meaningful learning experience that maximizes their learning potential through a core of basic skills.

- With students' rights come students' responsibilities for self discipline; respect and appreciation for the diversity of others; and civic responisibility as active participants in our community.
- The development of self-esteem and strength of character is, in part, the result of the students' educational experience that consistently demands excellence.
- To maintain this vision of excellence, the school system must be constantly engaged in a process of assessment, revision, and renewal.
