Mission
We, the members of the Hendersonville Fire Department, are a team of dedicated professionals bonded together for the purpose of protecting lives and property within our community.
To accomplish this mission, we task ourselves to become increasingly knowledgeable and proficient in the areas of public education, fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue and other related activities.
We will continually strive to utilize all available resources to achieve department goals, and we hope to serve as role models for the citizens of our community to the best of our ability.
About Us
The Hendersonville Fire Department is professional fire service dedicated to the citizens of Hendersonville. The city's
volunteer service started around 1970 and in 1975 became a full time paid department.
The department serves over 50,000 people within the city limits.
We respond from 5 fire stations and station 6 is now being planned in the Saundersville Road area.
In addition to the Chief, we have 3 Division Chiefs, a Fire Marshal, 2 Fire Inspectors,
3 administrative staff and 72 fire suppression personnel.
We respond to fire and EMS calls as well as incidents involving
haz-mat, rescue and extrication.
