Mission:

The mission of the Geauga County Department on Aging is to support positive aging through programs, services, and resources that promote health, wellness, safety, independence and dignity.

About Us:

In order to be placed on the clean-up list, you must first be registered with the Geauga County Department on Aging, be 60 years of age or older and live in the Village, Township or City hosting the pick-up.

The Department on Aging Employees, volunteers and local service departments will remove unwanted items from senior’s homes, saving seniors the time and effort of taking it themselves.

The Russell Township Trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2016 Russell Senior Trash Pick-Up Days September 21 and 22. Russell Township and the Department on Aging will pick up refuse from the seniors who need assistance.

The Geauga County Department on Aging’s Escort Program offers transportation for Geauga County Seniors (age 60 and over) to their “out of county” medical appointments. We are able to transport seniors to the following counties: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Lake, Portage or Trumbull Counties for medical appointments. The program runs Monday through Friday and has wheelchair accessible vehicles,
