About Us:

For over 50 years, Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp has been serving regional families, organizations, schools, and individuals. We have a reputation for offering quality programs, furnishing the best facilities, and providing unique family and group experiences.  We endeavor to make lasting memories in the lives of our campers.

Our primary program is our eleven week summer family camp, accommodating 30+ families each week.  Deer Valley serves up a family vacation or individual getaway second to none, offering a perfect community and building lifelong friendships and relationships.  From grandparents to infants, our summer camp program is designed to ensure every family member and guest has an unforgettable experience.

In addition to our summer program, Deer Valley offers a wide range of activities and programs throughout the year.  It accommodates weekend family retreats and reunions, women’s programs, environmental education programs, school activities, corporate retreats, team building initiatives, older active adult trips, and church groups from around the country.  Our facilities provide a great variety of organized programs, recreational and educational activities, meeting spaces, large activity halls, an auditorium, and a spacious dining facility all supported by tremendous staff who are dedicated to service.

Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western Pennsylvania, just minutes from Mount Davis, the highest point in Pennsylvania, Deer Valley’s 740 wooded acres and 125-acre lake yield a breathtaking landscape.  Our recreational facilities include a staffed waterfront for swimming, sailing, boating, and fishing; horse stables with numerous riding trails; miles of scenic trails for jogging, hiking, and biking; basketball, tennis, volleyball, and softball courts; and a zip line, high ropes course, and climbing wall.

Deer Valley is owned and operated by the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and is located in southern Somerset County near Meyersdale and Salisbury, PA.
