The Child Care Resource Center is a private non-profit agency created in 1988 as an initiative of the Nord Family Foundation.  The agency’s need in the community derived from local and national research, which indicated a direct correlation between deprivation in quality early childhood experiences and the social problems of teenagers.

The CCRC offers the following services:

  • The Child Care Resource Center offers FREE resource and referral services to families seeking child care in Lorain, Erie, Huron, Seneca and Sandusky Counties. 
  • The CCRC also provides professional development  and one-on-one technical asistance to help with start up of family home businesses and child care centers.  
  •  We also administer the Child and Adult Care Food Program for Family Child Care Home Businesses.   
  • We  work with corporations and businesses to enhance HR departments to handle employee child care needs and provide resources for employers and employees.
