About Us

Catholic Charities works with individuals, families and communities to meet needs, eliminate oppression, and build a just and compassionate society. Each year, Catholic Charities touches the lives of thousands of people of all faiths. Parents and children look to us to "Provide Help...Create Hope."

Catholic Charities provides service exclusively in Colorado from Metro Denver to Northern Colorado and the Western Slope. All of our funds are used to direct service to the needy, with only 8.7% of our budget used in administration and delivery of our services and 3.7% for fundraising. In the December 2002 issue of Worth Magazine, Catholic Charities was ranked as one of the top non-profits to make the biggest impact with their donations. Catholic Charities has been in the top ten ranking for many years.

We are dedicated to helping people of all ages, faiths, ethnic backgrounds, and economic circumstances. We believe in providing the tools people need to reach self-sufficiency. We strive to assure that the basic necessities of life - food, clothing and shelter - are available to people in need. We offer opportunities and assistance to children and families, senior citizens, the disabled and many others. In order to meet the needs of those we serve, we actively seek out partners in the community to join with us as advocates for those in need.

In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006, Catholic Charities, through its many programs, provided services to over one quarter million of our neighbors. A majority of these people were families with children. Total donations and grants were $16.5 million.

We could not carry out this vital mission without support from many caring individuals and organizations in Colorado. Every gift, whether of time, talent, or money, is important and greatly appreciated. We are deeply grateful to our donors, volunteers, and the many foundations, corporations, and businesses that support our efforts. We are especially grateful to the Archdiocese of Denver and Mile High United Way for their continued support.
