About us
Camas Karate was started in 1990 by Master Robert Shipley III. Prior to that he operated a karate studio in Hawaii for 18 years. Master Shipley III is a co-founder and Charter Member of the United States Soo Bahk Do Federation.
Our school is certified by the U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation. Our instructors are all certified and must meet strict requirements of theoretical knowledge, teaching ability and written thesis in addition to physical ability.
We teach the art of Soo Bahk Do to men, women and children ages 7 and up. Our goal is to develop self-discipline and respect for oneself and others while teaching self-defense skills through the art of Soo Bahk Do.
