A Christian Organization of families that bring children to America from Belarus to escape the radiation from the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident of 1986. We host these children in our homes for 6 weeks each summer as we minister to both their physical and spiritual needs. Just breathing clean air, drinking clean water and eating clean healthy food for 6 weeks boosts their immune systems that have been compromised by the radiation. It is believed that their life expectancy will be extended from 2-5 years for each summer that they visit. The children are from age 7-16. They all speak Russian, and some know English as well. We find out very soon that love needs no language to be communicated. We are a local group that works through the American Belarussian Relief Organization (ABRO) with the home office in North Carolina.
