NEWS FROM THE TEO
The Townsend Ecumenical Outreach (TEO) Food Bank and Clothes Closet is here to serve our local area by distributing food, personal items, and lightly worn clothing to families, children, seniors, and individuals in Townsend and surrounding communities.
TEO wants to once again reach out to our Townsend/Ashby community and offer help during these uncertain times. If you have experienced a job loss, reduction in hours, or any number of other circumstances that makes you fearful about having enough food on your table to feed your family, please reach out for help. TEO volunteers respect the privacy of our families, and we encourage anyone in need to ask for help. TEO believes strongly that no one in our community should go hungry. Would you like to HELP the TEO?
If you would like to support our efforts, the TEO is always looking for assistance with stocking shelves, packaging items, and helping with distribution of food and clothing. Teenagers, young adults, or anyone wishing to provide community service to the local community are encouraged to help. Note that we are following strict CDC recommendations for personal protection.
