Government and Politics

September 28, 2022

From: Town of Wales

The algae bloom has subsided.  The Board of Health has been notified that the state testing team will be conducting the first of two tests on Wednesday, October 12th.  The second test will be conducted on Wednesday, October 19th.  Upon receipt of an "all clear" by the state after the second test the Board of Health will lift the ban and the Dam Keeper will take the appropriate steps to release the water at the dam.  Please continue to avoid any and all contact with the water until the ban has been lifted.
