EARLY BALLOTS FOR SEPTEMBER PRIMARY - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All registered voters in the Town of Tolland should have received a post card from the State that can be filled out and sent to the Town Clerk to request an early ballot.

When filling out the request for early ballot whether it be the card sent from the state or the form available online please follow the instructions.  If you have a registered party of Unenrolled, you must select a party ballot to receive.   Please note top left corner of the card under your printed name and address it shows what your registered party is.  For example Party:  Republican or in the case of unenrolled Party: No Party. “No Party” means you must choose a party ballot by checking off your choice on the card.

The State has let Town Clerks know that if requests are not completed correctly we are under no obligation to call, email you or send you a letter.  I have been taking the time and postage to return them to be properly filled out. If this happens too close to the deadline there will not be time for your request to be returned to you and for you to receive a ballot. It is the same every time there is a state primary or federal primary; if you are unenrolled you must let me know what party ballot you wish to receive.
