Arts and Entertainment

September 23, 2022

From: Jack Pine Glass Pumpkin Festival

The third annual Jack Pine Glass Pumpkin Festival is an outdoor art show experience featuring local artists and food vendors selling their craft.

Join us any day between Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25, 2022 as Jack Pine Studio hosts the Glass Pumpkin Festival. We will have hundreds of one of a kind, blown glass pumpkins for sale arranged in front of the studio. There will be many other fine craft vendors and artists selling an array of works from disciplines like metal, fabric, wood, and painting Jack Pine has curated and is featuring a collection of very fine craftsmen and craftswomen from the region and beyond.

Something for Everyone:

Though pumpkins are the main attraction, there are other things to enjoy. With the backdrop of the beautiful Hocking Hills during autumn, the journey and setting are part of the whole experience. We are featuring local food vendors and artisan crafts of all sorts, in addition to the broad display of Jack Pine’s signature, hand-blown glass pumpkins. This may be the perfect time to find that unique Christmas gift for that special someone on your Christmas list.

Enjoy Yourself:

The show will go for 3 days, offering multiple parking reservation times to come and enjoy the art and the atmosphere while keeping crowd density low and practicing safe social and health practices for the enjoyment of everyone. Last year was a fun event with a diverse crowd who all had a good and unique experience.

This year will feature a live music stage with various performances throughout the day!

Glass Blowing:

Witness for yourself the true craftsmanship and artistry of hand-blown glass. Nothing compares to seeing this incredible process for yourself, right at the studio, as our artists use their world-renowned skill to blow, turn, and stretch pure molten glass before your eyes

Food for Everyone:

There will be plenty of wonderful treats and local food vendors that you would find at the Circleville Pumpkin Show. Food trucks serving everything from sweet rolls, funnel cakes, and pumpkin ice cream, to homemade Amish noodles, breads, cookies, and more. This will truly be a little slice of the Circleville Pumpkin Show!

Pumpkin Patch:

Come and see hundreds of custom blown glass pumpkins for sale all laid out in the lawn in front of the studio. The pumpkins feature strong saturation of colors and unique finishing techniques, producing works with a mother-of-pearl, iridized, lustrous appearance.

Pumpkin Carving:

Look on as Gus Smithister, world famous pumpkin carver, carves a 600 lb real pumpkin into a work of art! If real pumpkins are your thing, choose your own pumpkin from a local grower. There will be hundreds of real pumpkins to choose from.

Live Music Stage:

This year we will be featuring live music each day of the festival. Music will go throughout the day during the festival.

Schedule:

Friday, September 23 and Sunday, September 25, 2022

Artista Rock School: Friday and Sunday we will feature the music of the Artista Rock School. This is an outlet for creative exploration in music and performance for local youth, ages 6-18. All day enjoy the rock music sounds of various students of the program. It is the “School of Rock” from Southeast Ohio, and they will rock you!
