Holiday Open House and Craft Sale
Saturday, December 3rd
9:30 am - 3 pm & 4PM - 7PM (During The 

Join us for our annual Open House and Craft Sale, featuring: handmade crafts and gifts; Teacup Auction and Book Cart Sale. (Sponsored by the Harwinton Library Friends)
We will be open from 9:30am – 3pm and again from 4pm-7pm 
The craft sale will continue thru December 23rd.

Small Work Art Exhibition Fundraiser
runs thru December 31st

All local artists.
All pieces are priced at $100 with 30% going to the library.  Come support your library and purchase a unique gift at the same time!

Book Babies Storytime
Tuesdays @ 10 am, December 6th-20th

In this storytime series we will be learning about all the different holidays in December!

Week 1: Hanukah

Week 2: Yule

Week 3: Kwanza

Week 4: Christmas

Registering for one will register you for all holiday storytimes.

Baby Song and Play
Tuesday, December 6th @ 11 am

Bring your baby, ages 6 months to 18 months (we are not strict on these boundaries), and enjoy songs, puppets, and little activities.

Santa and Mrs. Claus Storytime
Saturday, December 10th @ 10:30 am
Register here

Come meet both Santa and Mrs. Claus in this extra special storytime! They will read a few Christmas books and we will make a super cool craft! Feel free to take pictures.

Veteran Benefits
Tuesday, December 13th
9:30 am - 12:30 pm

A Veteran's advocate will be available to answer general questions regarding various programs and services for Veterans and referrals to specific agencies will be provided as needed.  All Veterans are welcome regardless of branch of service or character of discharge
This is a walk-in event, no registration necessary.

Evening Book Discussion

Monday, December 19th @ 6 pm

This month's selection is The Lioness by Chris Bohjalian.  A luxurious African safari turns deadly for a Hollywood starlet and her entourage in this riveting historical thriller.  Copies are available to borrow.  Join us!

Family Winter Craft

Family Movie Matinee
Friday, December 30th @ 1 pm

Kick off your weekend with a free family movie! No registration needed. Patrons are welcome to bring a snack or box lunch to enjoy during the film.

We also have a portable DVD player available to borrow! 

Cellphone collection event in January

Is there a new cellphone on your wish list this year?  You can donate your old cellphones to Secure the Call, a program that provides free emergency 911 cellphones to people in need.  It’s safe and environmentally friendly.  We will have a Secure the Call cellphone collection barrel in the Library during the month of January
