South Shore Conservatory's Duxbury Music Festival returns for another season of incredible music-making that audiences have come to enjoy for more than a decade and a half. This year's program puts alumni at the forefront, under the direction of Artistic Director and pianist Stephen Deitz. Violinist Ahra Cho, violist Dahm Huh, cellist Peter Pearson, and pianist Tetiana Shafran perform alongside long-time festival artist Regina Yung, piano, in conjunction with SSC and SMF Faculty Artists.

July 10, 2022

7 pm - Opening Night @ DMF at Ellison Center for the Arts, Duxbury

DMF kicks off Opening Night with one of the most thrilling duets ever written for strings, Handel-Halvorsen's Passacaglia, Ravel's dreamy Piano Trio, and Gershwin's Variations on “I Got Rhythm” for two pianos, four hands.

July 11, 2022

7 pm - L'Chaim: Celebrating Jewish Voices in Music at Ellison Center for the Arts, Duxbury

A celebration of Jewish composers and stories, presented in collaboration with Duxbury for All. The concert opens with a string quartet arrangement of John Williams' hauntingly beautiful Theme from Schindler's List, followed by works from Milhaud, Bernstein, and Korngold.

7 pm - Cocktails and a Concert at Ellison Center for the Arts, Duxbury

Come for a drink, stay for a concert! DMF serves up a jazz-inspired concoction of music and mixology. Featuring works by George Gershwin, William Bolcom, and Dana Suesse.

July 15, 2022

7 pm - Dance and Romance at Ellison Center for the Arts, Duxbury

The final concert in the series also celebrates the 25th anniversary of South Shore Conservatory's Duxbury campus, the Ellison Center for the Arts. This all-American concert centers around a collaboration involving artists from South Shore Conservatory's Summer Music Festival (SMF). At the heart of this diverse American program is Aaron Copland's timeless masterpiece, Appalachian Spring, conducted by Dr. Eric Laprade
