The success of that song led to a 1972 Grammy for Best New Artist and paved the way for a long string of other hits, including "I Need You," "Sandman," "Tin Man," "Lonely People," and "Sister Golden Hair." While Peek left the trio in 1977, and later died in 2011, Beckley and Bunnell continue recording and performing the band's legendary music.
