Scituate Town Library is Going Fine-Free!

Like many of the other libraries in the Old Colony Library Network,  Scituate Town Library is now a fine-free library!  As of November 1st, your account will no longer accrue overdue fines and any existing Scituate overdue fines will be removed from your account. 

Please note, there are a few exceptions! Fines will still accrue on the following items:

-Library of Things Items

-Museum Passes

-InterLibrary Loan items from outside OCLN

-Equipment such as Hotspots and Chromebooks

Fees associated with Lost and Damaged items will remain in effect.

The above stipulations only apply to Scituate items. Overdue items from libraries in the Old Colony Network that still charge fines will result in a fee on your account. Items owned by another library in OCLN are subject to that library's policies. Not all libraries in the network are fine-free. For example: if you return an overdue item from a non fine-free library, you will still accrue that library's fines. Contact the owning library in question for further information.
