Food Drive

Slower donations and increased demand often mean food pantries run low on supplies. The NTL is holding a food drive in the month of July to benefit the First Parish Newbury Food Pantry. Anytime the library is open you are welcome to bring your donations by!

NEW! JAWS Interactive Movie Kit!

What Is an Interactive Movie Kit?
An interactive movie experience happens when you watch a movie together with a group and you do certain actions at certain times during the movie. From your home, read the script and you’ll be encouraged to sing when you see people swimming, make chomping sounds when someone says shark and eat a pretzel when Brody does (and more!). Costumes are encouraged! Reserve your kit for up to 6 people today!

Closed July 4th

We will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th due to Independence Day. We will reopen at 11am on Wednesday, July 5.

Even though the library is closed, the library online is always open! Check out what you can do here.

Library Programs

Summer Concert with Singer Songwriter/Blues Les Sampou

June 21 from 5:30-6:30pm
Please join us for a midweek summer concert with Les Sampou. Les Sampou's musical program is based on her original songs, blues and folk selections, and heartfelt and humorous stories she tells from her years of being on the road. Her emotional voice and haunting lyrics stay with her audience long after the curtain closes. Sampou has performed at Montreal Jazz Festival, SXSW, Toronto Blues Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival (where she won the New Folk Songwriting Award), Philadelphia Folk Festival, Winnipeg, and Falcon Ridge to name a few.  Join us behind the library for a great performance! Please bring a chair or blanket to watch the performance.

Audiobook Recommendations

We have some recommendations by Book Riot on recently released audiobooks that are narrated by the author. (Sometimes there is something fun about listening to an author narrate their own work!)
We also have some highly anticipated spring audiobook releases in this list here. Time to get busy listening!

NEW in Library of Things

We have recently added some tools to our Library of Things. For example, you can check out a hex key set, a stud finder, or an infrared thermometer, all with your library card. Keep checking back for more information on our latest additions!
