Thank You For Harvest Fest!

Our Friends of the NTL want to say thank you to everyone who made Harvest Fest a success! They sent a wonderful email thanking the hard work that was put into Harvest Fest. They were able to raise $800 that will go towards adult & children's programs, as well as other items like museum passes and our public copier. 

Festival of Trees

The Friends of the NTL are doing the Festival of Trees Fundraiser again this year! Keep an eye on their webpage for more details. You can also sign up for their emails HERE to keep up-to-date with their latest happenings. 

Winter Hat & Mitten Drive 
Help local residents stay warm this winter! We hope you will consider donating a new hat or pair of mittens/gloves when you visit this December. Your donations will be delivered to the Pettengill House at the start of the new year. For more information, visit...

- ALL SIZES - Men, women, and children items needed

Youth Department News

The Youth Department is excited to announce that we will be starting a Read-To-A-Therapy-Dog program! This program encourages confidence in reading skills and can be a great opportunity to make reading fun ?for reluctant readers as they practice fluency skills. Come read with Ivy and/or Fraser ?in 15-minute sessions. Dates/times TBA, so make sure to follow us on social media to get the latest information. 

Pokémon Club
Join us for Pokémon Club! This club is a way for all kids who enjoy Pokémon to have a space to trade cards and share their interests!
Recommended for ages 6+.

Lego Club
Come and build Legos with us at NTL!  Feel free to come and build your own creations, or build off a project that has already been started. This will be a casual club where all participants can follow whatever direction their engineering intuition takes them.
Recommended for ages 3+, with siblings always welcome.

Teddy Bear Storytime
Friday, December 2nd at 10:00 a.m.

Grab your favorite stuffed animal and join us for a Teddy Bear Storytime. There will be plenty of stories, songs, and teddy bear snuggles!

Holiday Storytime
Friday, December 16th at 10:00 a.m.

We welcome you to join us for a special musical Storytime- Holiday edition! There will be holiday stories, and a ton of music to get the whole family into the holiday spirit. There will also be a special performance on the cello by Ms. Nicky, our Children's Librarian!

WEEKLY CRAFT KITS:
Take and Make Craft Kits

A new project is put out every week in the Children's Room! Kits come with everything you need to craft, except for glue and tape. Registration is not required, just come in and pick them up!
Kits are first come first serve, and please take only one kit per child so everyone can enjoy!

Does your teen need volunteer hours?
We could use their help!
Your teen may need community service hours for school and/or college applications. What could look better than hours spent volunteering at the library? Fill out a volunteer form, come in and talk to us. Teens need to be in 7th grade or older to volunteer.

TAKE FREE ART CLASSES WITH CREATIVEBUG!

MOVIE NIGHT KIT!
Each Harry Potter Interactive kit contains a script for each person with instructions explaining which actions to do during which parts of the movie. Your kit will also contain props and sweet treats to add to your interactive experience!

Surprise Book Bundles for Kids and Teens at the NTL!

Not sure what to read? Don’t have time to place holds? Let us surprise you!  Fill out our Surprise Book Bundles form and our Youth Services staff will select a variety of books for you to read.  Available for ages 0-18.

Books aren't the only thing we offer! Our Library of Things features activities that can be fun for the whole family. Get active with our volleyball set, go exploring with our birdwatching kits, and more! Browse everything in our Library of Things here.

We will have adjusted hours for the Holidays.

 We will be closing early at 1pm on Thursday, December 22. We will be closed on Saturday, December 24 and closed on Saturday, December 31.   
Returns can be made in our book drop on the side of the building. And the Library at Home is always open at newburylibrary.org/books/libraryathome
