11:00am-1:00pm: Dog Park Grand Opening
She of the Flowers Photography will be there to take complimentary photos of families with their pup. Visitors will receive a 5×7 as a thank you gift from the Town.
We will also have dog treat bags.

Sunday, July 2, 2023
1:00pm-4:00pm: Bike Rodeo in Veterans Memorial Park.
This event is to teach Maine bicycle laws and safety skills. Bring a helmet! first 100 kids without a helmet get one for free. Lunch provided.

Monday, July 3, 2023
7:00pm-8:00pm: Mac & Cheese Cook Off in rear parking lot behind Stearns High School
7:00pm: Entrants must deliver their dish
7:05pm-7:15pm: Judges are served and begin tasting
7:15pm-7:45pm: Public tasting for $5 per person
7:45pm: Voting and scoring
8:00pm: Awards
Fireworks: Dusk
7:00pm-8:00pm: DJ Ice behind Stearns High School

Tuesday, July 4, 2023
9:00am: Vendor Fair in Veterans Park
DJ Frank Manzo in Veterans Park
Kids bounce house
Parade, themed ‘Hometown Heroes’: 10am lineup, 10:30am start at Northern Shopping Plaza, down Central, Penobscot, Poplar, Katahdin, back up Central to Stearns Assisted Living. Floats will be judged for awards!
Children’s Parade: 10am lineup 10:30am start at Bangor Savings Bank down Penobscot. Walk your pet on leash, ride your bike, skateboard, or scooter. Don’t forget your helmet! Children under 10 should be accompanied by a teen or adult.
Whoopie Pie Contest
Whoopie Pies must be delivered no later than 1pm
Must bring baker’s dozen (13)
Must label allergens (nuts, coconut, peanut butter)
Judging is public vote, $3 to vote.
It begins at 1:15pm
Whoopie pies will be cut into thirds.
Bakers may not judge.
Whoopie Pies will be numbered, and the public will vote for their top choice.
Whomever has the most votes will win a certificate stating they have the best whoopie pie in Millinocket AND $100 cash prize.
