- Our Madeira Family Fun Nights this year have been intentional in pausing the homework to make space for special family memories to be made. Hurried schedules and busy work routines can get the best of us at times unless we find balance and make room for our families to have fun. Check out our fourth Madeira Family Fun Night Video from April 17, and all Madeira Family Fun Night videos, at Making Time for Family.

- GREASE School Version comes to Medert Auditorium starting tonight! This abridged version retains the fun-loving spirit and immortal songs that make the show a favorite among rock and roll fans of all ages. Tickets for April 20, 21 and 22 can be purchased at MHS Presents GREASE or by scanning the QR code on the GREASE banner on our website.

- Each year the day before the opening night of the spring MHS Theatre Arts Musical, senior citizens who are residents of Madeira are invited to Senior Citizen Day. Attendees are treated to coffee, a continental breakfast, and a complimentary performance of the musical. A tradition on Senior Citizen Day is the recognition of several individuals who are named Honorary Leading Man and Lady due to their dedication to the district. This year’s honorees were Pat Gentile and his wife, Jacque. For a picture and to read more please Our 2023 Honorees. For many Honored Guests from over the years please see Our Honored Seniors.

- Our schools and community are comprised of dedicated and involved individuals who regularly go beyond the expected to ‘make a difference’ in our schools - of going the extra mile. The I Make a Difference Award was created to recognize the extraordinary contribution of these people. Any employee or volunteer is eligible for the ‘I Make A Difference Award.’  Recipients will be honored by the Madeira Board of Education and their name(s) will be added to a permanent plaque in Perin Learning Commons.  Nominations for spring 2023 are due by May 5, although they may be submitted any time throughout the year. For criteria, a nomination form, and photos of past winners, please see  I Make a Difference Award.

- Nominations for the 2023 Madeira Athletic Hall of Fame will be accepted through May 1, 2023 at 2023 Hall of Fame.

- You are cordially invited to attend The Madeira Schools Foundation 2023 Awards Luncheon on Thursday, May 11, 2023. - Spring Walk to School Day is May 3! Walk, bike or roll to school with your family and neighbors! If you live too far to walk, park a few blocks from school and join in on the fun. Walking promotes exercise & health, saves gas, reduces pollution, encourages safety, and is fun! This event is optional and buses will still be running. Walk to School Day is sponsored by the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) and The Madeira Elementary School PTO.
