This Annual Marshall Lions event includes many family friendly and outdoor events for all to enjoy. Events include Torch-lit Ice Skating, Snow Sculpting Contest, Ice Fishing Contest, Rabbit Hunt, Coyote Hunt, Flag Football Tourney, Euchre Tournament, Texas Hold'em and a DJ with Dancing! This event promises to be better than ever with more events, prizes, food and good times than ever before. Adults and children alike will have a great time.

Ice Fishing Contest - $1,000 Cash Prize first tagged Crappie caught! Fishing on the Maunesha River at Fireman's Park Only!! Note: This is Wisconsin DNR's "Free fishing weekend!"

To Enter: $10 entry fee per person and must pre-register at Fireman's Park prior to fishing. Purchase entry tickets from any Lions member or during the event at Fireman's Park.

Start and Stop: Fishing starts at 6:00 am on the 20,n. and ends at 2:30 pm.

To Qualify: Fishing open to Maunesha River only at Fireman's Park within marked areas. Catch a fish in any of classes (Bass. Bluegill. Crappie, Northern Pike, or Walleye). Fish must be caught on the 20,n and registered whole. ALL DNR RULES APPLY. Judges decisions are final.

Registering your catch: Registration is open from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm on Sat, Jan 20Ul at the Fireman's Park in Marshall. Anglers are encouraged to practice catch and release as only ONE fish per class, per participant can be registered for the contest. Register fish in the main event shelter and bring fish in soon after catch.

How to win: Adult and Kids (14 & under) classes will be judged. Catch and register the largest fish by weight in each class by 2:30 pm on Saturday the 20*" Separate prizes and trophies will be awarded for each class. Tie breaker will be earliest time registered from 10 am onward. Fish can only be used for one prize.

Prizes: Adult prizes for two largest fish in each category - $50 - 1* $25 -2n0. Kids cash prizes - $15- 1*', $10 - 2nd & $5 - 3rt for the three largest legal fish in each category. Fish categories: Bass. Bluegill, Crappie, Northern Pike, and Walleye. $200 Cash Prize and trophy for the largest fish caught based on length (any age group). Weight is tiebreaker. Separate cash prizes & trophies for kids 14 & under. Prizes awarded at 3;00pm. All judges' decisions are final.

The first 40 kids 14 years old and under entered will receive a FREE fishing door prize. Kids will also receive one free entry to the $100 kid's only cash prize drawing awarded at 3:00 pm.

Rabbit Hunt

Team Sign-Up: FINAL SIGN-UP DEADLINE is Thursday, Jan 18,n by 2 pm. Registrations can be given to Kevin Moreland, dropped off at the Barrel Inn Bar, The Fox or Tom's Guns in Marshall or mailed to: Marshall Lions P.O. Box 655 Marshall, Wl 53559. Team sign-ups are not allowed the day of the event.

Each registered hunter gets one FREE hunters gun raffle ticket. Sign-up for all four hunts and get one additional FREE raffle ticket per hunter.

Entry fee: $5 for one-person team, $10 for two-person team, and $80 for four-person team.

Free Gun Raffle: Savage Axis 223 Black Synthetic - Hunt entry gets you 1 FREE hunter's gun raffle ticket

Start and Stop: Hunt starts at legal shooting hours on Friday, January 19 and final check in is at 2pm Saturday, January 20 at Fireman's Park Hall in Marshall.

To Qualify: Rabbits must be harvested on Friday or Saturday and registered the day they are harvested. Cleaned rabbits must have one furry leg attached. (2 rabbit limit for one-person team, 5 rabbit limit for two-person team, & 12 rabbit limit for four- person team). Check in starts at Noon on Friday and ends at 2pm on Saturday. Same rabbits can be used in the one, two, and four person contests. ALL DNR RULES APPLY.

How to win: All qualifying teams will be placed into a drawing, number of places is based on the number of entries and teams that qualify.
Prizes: Cash payouts to be determined based on size of registration and number of qualifying teams or those with the most rabbits (non-limit).

Coyote Hunt

Start and Stop: Hunt starts at 12:01 am (that's midnight Thursday really!) on Fri, January 19"\ 2024 and final check in is at 5:00 pm on Sat, Jan 20* at Fireman's Park in Marshall.

To Qualify: Coyotes must be harvested on either Friday, Jan 19 or Saturday, Jan 20 and must be registered the day they are harvested (2 coyote limit per team). Check in starts at Noon on Friday and ends at 5:00 pm, Saturday 10:00am and ends at 5:00pm. ALL DNR RULES APPLY.

How to win: All qualifying teams will be placed into a drawing to determine the places. Number of places is based on the number of entries and teams that qualify.

Prizes: Cash payouts to be determined based on size of registration and number of qualifying teams or those with the most coyotes (non-limit).

Flag Football Tournament

Entry Fee: $75 per 10-person team, 5 team members on the field at a time. Checks payable to the Marshall Lions Foundation.

Start and Stop: Teams to check in 30 minutes prior to their first game. All team members must sign the Wavier of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement before team can participate.

Metal cleats or shoes otherwise outfitted with metal traction devices cannot be worn. NO PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED - BRING YOUR OWN!

Euchre Tournament - Friday Night!

Registration: On-site at Fireman's Park (dress warm) at 5 pm with play starting at 6 pm sharp limited so arrive early!!

Entry fee: $5 per person

Start and Stop: Play starts at 6 pm sharp and concludes when 10 rounds are complete

The rules:

First Game: Sit wherever you want!

Each round consists of eight hands. Each person deals twice

Winners move up towards Table 1. Losers from Table 1 to last table.

Cut for partners. (High-High & Low-Low)

Visiting high deals first.

Scorecards will punched by a Uon euchre organizer.

We will play 10 rounds. Intermission after round five for food and beverages.

How to win: Highest score wins with cash payouts to other places depending on number of players Last year's results: r' place won $120 with cash prizes paid out roughly through 5lh place. 64 players participated.

Prizes: Cash prize payout amounts and places are based on number of players entered.

Texas Hold 'em - Friday Night

Registration: On-site at Fireman's Park in heated building Friday night at 6 pm with play starting at 7 pm sharp. Food will be available on-site until 10 pm.

Seats are limited so arrive early!!

Entry fee: $30 buy in with 1 rebuy per person in the first hour.

How to win: Last player 'standing" is the winner with other places determined by number of players entered.

Prize: Monetary prize payouts at the conclusion of all rounds. Last year's winner won over $250!

Snow Sculpting Contest - FREE!

How To Reserve a Snow Block: Contact Lion Paul Wehking - reserve your FREE 4' x 4' snow sculpting block by Friday January 18th. 608-347-4959 or [email protected]

Start and Stop: Sculpting can start on your reserved block at Noon on Friday, Jan 19,h however teams must check in after 4:00 pm on Friday, Jan 19th or Saturday, Jan 20th at Fireman's' Park. Sculptures must be complete by 2:30 pm on Sat, Jan 21st forjudging. Prizes awarded at 3:30 pm. The Marshall Lions are not responsible for any damage to sculptures during non-event hours.

What to bring: trowels, shovels, handsaws, etc.. .anything that will help you carve a 4' x 4' snow block. "NO TOOLS WILL BE PROVIDED - PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN!

Sculpting theme: Open - no theme.

How to win: The sculptures will be judged by a delegation from the Marshall Lions Club. Judging will be done at 2:30 pm on Saturday, Jan 20

Torch Lit Ice Skating

Friday and Saturday nights (Friday 4 - Close. Saturday 4 pm - Closed

Open to the public with access to the lake ramp or rock stairs at Fireman's Park in Marshall.

FREE hot chocolate for skaters!

Fire pits will be going to keep you warm

Food and beverages available until 10 pm both nights!

Saturday Night - starts at 6:00 pm until 11:30 pm - Beverages available. No one under 21 years of age allowed. Be prepared to show I.D.
