The Honolulu African American Film Festival returns for its 13th edition with films that celebrate global Black excellence in cinema. See films that highlight up-and-coming talent and important annals of Black history for the entire month of February.

The program is presented in collaboration with the Honolulu African American Film Festival committee: Daphne Barbee-Wooten, Ethan Caldwell, Akiemi Glenn, Tadia Rice, Sandra Simms, and Sharon Yarbrough.

Additional support by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and NAACP Hawaii.

RECEPTION

6pm: Opening Reception + Film: The Space Race

Come dressed to impress! The reception includes a live performance by Sound Fire, a buffet dinner by chef Damon of Rick’s **** restaurant, and a cash bar. Festivities are followed by the Hawai‘i premiere of The Space Race at 7:30pm.
