In the News

Governor Josh Green pledges $100 million to fight climate change. The Climate Impact Fund aims to preserve the state’s natural resources/emergencies and address climate change. Read our official statement here.

The Governor announced seventeen appointments to serve as Director and/or Deputy Director and other appointed positions for state departments. And for the first time, two Native Hawaiian women will lead the Department of Land and Natural Resources!

The Governor released the Executive Budget for the Fiscal Biennium to the Legislature and announced the release of nearly $50 million in grants to non-profit communities.

Governor’s Updates

This week was climate action week and Governor Green has pledged $100 million to address climate change here in Hawaii. This commitment is the bold action we urgently need to protect our islands, help our keiki thrive, and invest in our futures.
