Governor Polis Appoints Kellie L. Starritt to the 7th Judicial District Court

DENVER – On May 15, 2024, Governor Polis appointed Kellie L. Starritt to the 7th Judicial District Court. The vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable J. Steven Patrick and is effective July 1, 2024.

Ms. Starritt is a District Court Magistrate in the 7th Judicial District, a position she has held since 2017. Her docket consists of domestic matters. Previously, she was the Chief County Deputy Attorney in the Human Services Division for the Mesa County Attorney’s Office (2015-2017); Lead Assistant Mesa County Attorney (2014-2015); Attorney at Daniels & Sturgis, LLC (2010-2014); Guardian Ad Litem and Child and Family Investigator at Kellie L. Starritt P.C. (2004-2014); Assistant City Attorney at the Grand Junction City Attorney’s Office (2003-2004); Assistant Mesa County Attorney (1999-2003); and Paralegal at the Mesa County Attorney’s Office (1997-1999). Ms. Starritt earned her B.S. from Marquette University in 1990 and her J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1995.
