Governor Chris Sununu Directs Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day, Declares Law Enforcement Memorial Week

Concord, NH – On May 14th, in accordance with the President’s proclamation, Governor Chris Sununu has directed flags on all public buildings and grounds in the State of New Hampshire to fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in recognition of Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Governor Sununu has also proclaimed the week of May 12-18 as Law Enforcement Memorial Week in the State of New Hampshire.

"Each day, the men and women of New Hampshire’s law enforcement community nobly answer the call to serve, knowing that as they go to work they put their lives on the line for the betterment and protection of our communities,” said Governor Chris Sununu. “Thanks to their efforts, New Hampshire is ranked the #1 state in the country for public safety. There are no words to sufficiently convey our gratitude for their extraordinary commitment to the Granite State.”
