TEN "EVERGREEN" TRAILS TO EXPLORE THIS DECEMBER
While they’re known for retaining their foliage year-round, evergreens are perhaps most beautiful during wintertime when their foliage stands out amongst a snowy backdrop. This month’s Ten to Explore presented by Wayside Furniture offers ten scenic “evergreen” trails where you can take in their scenic beauty.

TIGER CUBS GENDER REVEAL!
Last week, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s Animal Care and Veterinary teams were able to confirm the sex of the two tiger cubs that were born on November 6! Hear an update on the cubs in this behind the scenes video!

Thurs., Dec. 14: Watch the skies for the Geminid meteor shower while learning the stories behind the constellations at Stories in the Stars: Geminid Meteor Shower in North Chagrin Reservation. Free.

Fri., Dec. 15:

- Explore the world around us with a story, activities and a craft at Mill Stream Story Time in Mill Stream Run Reservation. Free, ages 3 – 8 with adult, registration required.

- Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while hiking the trails of Acacia at Hike and Hot Chocolate. Free.

- Learn how snow forms and make a snowman craft to take home at Little Explorers: Snowman Social in West Creek Reservation. Free, ages 3 – 5 years with adult.

Sat., Dec. 16: Learn how to make a new craft out of nature at Traditional Arts Series: Birch Bark Container in Brecksville Reservation. $10, ages 16 and up, registration required
 
Sun., Dec. 17: Gather a group of 2 – 6 friends and family and see if you can solve the latest mystery to emerge at CanalWay Center at Mystery Room! $15, registration required.
 
Mon., Dec. 18: Hike through Acacia Reservation in search of the different species of raptors that call it home at Raptor Hike! Free.
 
Thurs., Dec. 21:

- Join us at Walk South to the Eagles and explore the Towpath in Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation in search of this bird of prey. Free.

- Celebrate the longest night of the year at West Creek Winter Solstice Luminary Hike for a special winter hike, hot chocolate, s'mores, crafts and games. $3, registration required.
