Register For Winter Break Camps

Get the kids out of the house and into nature during their winter break from school. From crafts and games, to hikes and waterfalls, there’s an adventure for every child at Cleveland Metroparks’ Winter Break Camps. Registration for programs across the Park District opens December 1 at 9:30 a.m. Camp scholarships are available to help cover the cost of Cleveland Metroparks Winter Camps to qualifying individuals

ICYMI: Two Tigers Born at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo recently announced the birth of two Amur tiger cubs at the Zoo’s Rosebrough Tiger Passage! The cubs were born on Nov. 6, 2023, to mom, Zoya, and dad, Hector. Mom and cubs are expected to remain behind-the-scenes in their maternal den for the first few months before the cubs are old enough to begin exploring their outdoor habitats. Stay connected to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s social media pages for updates on the cubs!

Friday, Nov. 24: 

  • Get some fresh air on your day off of school at No-School Nature Day in North Chagrin Reservation. Free. 
  • Take a short hike with us at Tiny Trek: Opt Outdoors in West Creek Reservation and enjoy a short trip for the whole family with scenic views. Free.  

Saturday, Nov. 25: 

  • Spend some time warming up at CanalWay Center with s’mores & nature fun at Afternoon Campfire. Free. 
  • Walk off the turkey and pumpkin pie on a hike to visit the tallest waterfall in Cuyahoga County at Mill Creek Falls Trail History Hike in Garfield Park Reservation. Free. 
  • Bring your furry friend for a brisk walk through the woods of Rocky River Reservation at Four-Legged Friends Hike. Free.  

Sunday, Nov. 26: 

  • Enjoy a walk around Hinckley Lake as we look and listen to the animals settling in for the night and those that are just waking up at Hinckley Night Life. Free.  
  • Meet the Rocky River Nature Center’s ancient mascot, Dunkleosteus, and learn about the creatures it lived alongside at Drop-By: Dunk and Friends. Free. 
  • Join a naturalist on a relaxed walk in Huntington Reservation at Huntington History Hike. Free.

Wednesday, Nov. 29: 

  • Join us at Bird Walk in South Chagrin Reservation, a hike for birders of all skill levels. Free. 
  • Bring your nature trivia knowledge and join us at Big Met Grille for Cleveland Metroparks monthly Nature Trivia Night! Free.
