Schools and Libraries

From: Exeter Public LibraryExeter, NH -- The U.S. is experiencing a recent uptick in book challenges, negatively impacting our schools and libraries. To educate the public about these challenges and what they mean for our communities, the Racial Unity Team, the Exeter Public Library, and Oyster River Equity & Justice will be co-hosting a panel discussion at the Exeter Public Library.
Topics covered will range from the history of book censorship in the U.S. to how recent laws passed in New Hampshire have raised concerns about community access to ideas. In addition, the panel will offer participants thoughtful strategies for how to respond to such challenges. This event is free and open to the public.
Date: Tuesday, September 20.
Time: 6:30-7:30 PM
Venue:
