Holiday Craft Faire Vendor Registration Now Open

Are you looking for the opportunity to show off your amazing, handmade items? Then sign up to be a vendor at our annual Holiday Craft Faire. Registration is first come, first served. There will be limits to the number of vendors within the same category. Vendors can choose from one table or two table setups. All items must be handmade. Get more information and sign up here.

Our annual Holiday Craft Faire will take place on Saturday, November 18th, from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Browse and shop for wonderful handmade items throughout our facilities in Twin Pines Park, all while getting in the holiday spirit.

Now Hiring at The Hideout

We are hiring for the Recreation Specialist I position! This part-time position helps to provide mentorship and guidance to middle school youth at our after-school program, the Hideout. Find more information and apply here.

Drop-In Pickleball

Join us starting Tuesday, September 5th for drop-in pickleball every Tuesday at Alexander Park from 9:00am - 11:00am. Stop by and try the game or sharpen up your skills. This is free and all skill levels are welcome. Please bring your own equipment. No instructor provided.

Belmont Talks: The Path of Healing

Join Janene Heldman, MA, MFT, on Thursday September 14th at 6:30pm as she goes over the four levels of healing trauma—shock, expression, reconstruction, and transformation. She will share tools and exercises for each healing stage. Get more info and register here.

Driver Safety Course

Join AARP at the Twin Pines Lodge on Monday, September 18th and Tuesday, September 19th from 9:30am - 1:30pm for a driver safety course to help older drivers maintain independence. $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. Reserve your spot by calling 650-595-7444.

Movies in the Parks - The Parent Trap

We are so happy to be bringing new movies and locations to you this fall. Join us on Friday, September 22nd, at Alexander Park for a movie under the stars! We will be showing The Parent Trap (1998). Movie begins at sundown. See our other dates and locations here.

High School Fair

Join us on Wednesday, October 18th at 6:30pm in the Twin Pines Senior and Community Center for our second annual High School Fair. Middle schoolers and their families will have the opportunity to network with local public and private schools. A full list of high schools attending will be released soon. More information here.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is coming to Twin Pines Park on Friday, October 27th, 5:30pm - 7:00pm! This is a free, community-wide event where participants decorate vehicles and share candy from their trunks. Come join us! Reserve a parking space for your vehicle here.

Other Updates

Belmont Library Comes to Twin Pines

The Belmont Library will be making monthly visits to the Twin Pines Senior and Community Center starting on Tuesday, September 12th from 10:45am - 12:15pm. During that time, they will have items available for checkout. Don't have a library card? No problem - they will have cards to issue on the spot. Library staff will read excerpts from selected books each month. This program serves the adult and senior population.

Nominations are Open

Do you know someone special who made Belmont a better place by their selfless actions this year or a property owner or business whose beautification project made Belmont a prettier city? Nominations for both our Community Service and our Beautiful Belmont awards are now open. Nominate your heroes today. Winners will be announced in advance of our final Belmont City Council meeting of 2023.

Front Desk Volunteers Needed

As the Senior and Community Center grows, we need your support at the front desk. Volunteers at the front desk help with welcoming participants and guiding them to their activities, answering the phone, taking program sign-ups, and other administrative tasks. It is a fun and engaging way to give back to your community! For more information, stop by the Senior Center or call us at 650-595-7444.

Here are some available times, but there is flexibility depending on your availability:

Mondays: 9:30am - 11:30am

Wednesdays: 9:00am - 10:30am

Thursdays: 9:00am - 11:00am or 11:00am - 1:00pm

Artist Studio Available for Rent

Are you an artist looking for a private space to paint, draw, or sculpt? We have one available studio space at the Manor Building here in Twin Pines Park. The studio is on the second floor with a window that receives natural light. The studio is approximately 68 sq feet and rents for $173 per month. Senior Lunch Program

Come enjoy a hot, nutritious meal at the Senior and Community Center! Lunch is served every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30am and is dine-in only. Reservations must be made at least one week in advance by calling 650-595-7444 or by stopping by the Senior and Community Center. The suggested contribution is $6 per meal. Check out the menu and more details here. We hope you’ll join us!

Water Dog Run

Run, walk, volunteer, or cheer. The Water Dog run is back this year on Saturday, October 14th. In support of Water Dog Runs youth-oriented mission, 5k and 10k registration for students have been reduced by $10! And as tradition, all registrants and volunteers are treated to a Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Belmont Redwood Shores Rotary. Get more information and register here.
