10am: Orientation Talk
Join park staff for a short 15 minute talk outlining the progression of the Battles of Manassas. Learn more about events happening throughout the weekend.

Meet at the back of the Henry Hill Visitor Center.

10:30am: Bull Run Legion Cannon Firing Demonstration
Join the park's Bull Run Legion living history volunteers as they fire the park's cannon! Learn more about the Civil War by experiencing the sites, smells, and sounds of it.

Meet at the Oak Grove on the edge of the Henry Hill Parking Lot.

11am: Henry Hill Walking Tour
Join a member of park staff for a 45-minute walk on the ground where the first major land battle of the Civil War was fought on July 21st, 1861 to learn more about the battle and the stories of those who witnessed it.

Meet by Ricketts' Battery outside the back doors of the Henry Hill Visitor Center.

1pm: Park Orientation Talk

2pm: Henry Hill Walking Tour
Join a member of park staff for a walk on the ground where the first major land battle of the Civil War was fought on July 21st, 1861 to learn more about the battle and the stories of those who witnessed it.

10am-4:30pm: Stone House Open
Visit the historic Stone House, one of three structures left in the park from the time of the Battles of Manassas. Park staff will be on hand to answer questions about the soldiers who were treated there, and the families that called it home. A highlight in the house is the carvings upstairs of two soldiers wounded at Second Manassas. One survived, and one did not, and staff will tell their stories.

The Stone House is tour stop #3 on the Manassas Driving Tour.

12pm-4pm: Brawner Farm Interpretive Center Open
Join park staff at the Brawner Farm and tour our Second Manassas Interpretive Center with exhibits about the battle, and a map with battle narration and a light show. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and make recommendations for the driving tour.

This is tour stop #1 on the Driving Tour.

10am-4pm: Junior Ranger Junction Craft Corner
Join park staff to make a craft inspired by the dedication of the Patriot's Monument in 1865 on Henry Hill. Participants will get a chance to make a paper wreath similar to the one that will be laid on the monument on Monday afternoon which uses the same flowers as those on the wreath in 1865.

Look for tents outside the Henry Hill Visitor Center by the Holly Tree.

10am-2pm: Decoration Day Volunteer Service Event
On May 25th, in the spirit of Decoration Day, we will be organizing a clean-up event on the battlefield. For those interested, we will be sending participants out to clean litter from hallowed ground where thousands lost their lives. To participate, please contact us We will provide trash bags and other PPE as needed, but we encourage participants to bring their own gloves. To officially be a part of this event, you will need to fill out volunteer forms. On the day of the event, we require that you check in and check out with us.

We will have a tent set up outside the Henry Hill Visitor Center from 10am until 2pm.
