16 Handles, the beloved self-serve frozen yogurt brand with a loyal fan base, will debut in Texas next month with a grand opening in Frisco on May 4. The new spot, at 15922 Eldorado Pkwy #500, aims to be the premiere local, community-driven destination for frozen yogurt and dessert.

16 Handles features 16 different soft serve flavors, 50+ toppings and sauces, as well as a variety of frozen novelties such as cakes, take-home pints, and DŌ gourmet edible cookie dough. Rotating flavors range from vegan, nonfat and zero sugar added frozen yogurt to rich and creamy ice cream. The brand pushes the boundaries of innovation and flavor, with recent limited-edition launches including Butter Beer, Dune Spice, and Keto Chocolate Brownie, alongside staples like Classic Vanilla, Original Tart, and Made with Nutella. Modern store design with lounge-style seating and late-night hours makes 16 Handles the perfect dessert destination for families, friends, and dates. 

The local dessert shop is owned and operated by husband-wife duo Sachin and Aparna Deshpande, the proud parents of three, who were initially attracted to the healthier dessert concept that is undeniably

delicious. Aparna had originally taken a career hiatus to raise her kids, but always aspired to own her own business. With her children older, that dream is now becoming a reality. Her husband Sachin Deshpande, a seasoned IT professional, will help co-manage the popular frozen yogurt shop. Their shared vision for 16 Handles Frisco includes not only providing frozen treats but also a welcoming community space for families and individuals.

"I am excited to embark on this journey and introduce 16 Handles to our community in Frisco," shared Aparna Deshpande. "We can’t wait to welcome three generations of customers for the new, best dessert in Frisco. 16 Handles in Frisco will hold a grand opening event May 4 with special offers and entertainment beginning with a ribbon cutting at noon. The first 100 customers will receive a free unlimited cup or cone of 16 Handles frozen yogurt, as well as a commemorative pin. From 12 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., customers will score 50 percent off their purchase as a thank you for visiting the new location. For those who can’t make it then, the remainder of the weekend will offer 25 percent off every purchase (5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.)

During the Grand Opening event, guests can take a picture under the giant inflatable ice-cream arch, spin a prize wheel, and enjoy family-friendly activities like face painting, and a balloon twister.

16 Handles is co-owned by celebrity YouTuber Danny Duncan, who is known for viral stunts with over 2 billion online views. Duncan will be making a special appearance during the Grand Opening weekend, including a meet-and-greet for his fans at the new Frisco store from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 3rd. Fans can wait in line to take pictures and get autographs from Duncan at no cost as the company celebrates the highly anticipated store opening.
